Pet Licensing is May 1st - June 15th!

Pet Licensing
The Borough of Midland Park’s Pet Licensing Period is May 1st to June 15th per Chapter 5 “Animal Control” of the Municipal Code. The Borough will begin renewing pets licenses by mail only as of May 1st. Please do not send in your paperwork prior to May 1st as we are unable to process licenses early and it will be mailed back to you using the envelope you provided.
 
Proof of current rabies vaccination must be provided. Per NJ State law, the rabies vaccine duration must extend through a minimum of ten months of the licensing year.  Any rabies vaccine that expires before March 1, 2027, will require an updated vaccine prior to issuance of a new pet license.
 
To renew your pet license or register your new pet please follow these instructions:
  1. Complete the application form attached at the bottom of this page. Use a separate form for each pet you are licensing.
  2. Enclose a copy of your pet’s rabies vaccine certificate. Do not send an original, it will not be mailed back.
  3. Include cash or check payable to “Borough of Midland Park”
    1. Spayed/Neutered Dogs and Cats - $12.00
    2. Non-Spayed/Non-Neutered Dogs and Cats - $15.00
  4. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the tag and receipt to be mailed to you.
  5. Mail your paperwork and payment, or drop it off in the “Pet Licensing” mailbox outside the door of Borough Hall:

Failure to license your pet(s) by June 15th will result in the assessment of a $10.00 late fee. Failure to renew by June 30th will result in the issuance of a summons.
