Addiction Support 24/7 Hotline (201) 589-2976
Posted on: April 16, 2021 - 10:11am

Bergen County, in partnership with several organizations, is offering a 24/7 hotline that is available to connect individuals who are struggling with addiction to services. This hotline connects individuals to a trained peer recovery specialist, which is someone in recovery who is trained to motivate an individual into treatment. The recovery specialist then refers the individual to a patient navigator, who assesses the level of need, determines the appropriate treatment, and ultimately connects them to appropriate services. The 24/7 hotline is confidential and made possible through a partnership with The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources. It is funded through a federal grant administered by the New Jersey Attorney General's Office and the Department of Law & Public Safety.
The 24/7 hotline is a "one-stop shop" service that removes the burden of finding a drug treatment program from the individual or family member, and the peer recovery specialist is available to support the individual throughout the process. Anyone who knows someone struggling with addiction is strongly urged to make note of this resource. The hotline number can also be found at www.stoptheods.com.
Thank you.
